Many Ways to Support FOCAS

Every dollar makes a difference in the lives of homeless animals. No FOCAS trustee or volunteer is paid for their service, so your financial contributions directly help homeless, sick, and injured animals throughout the county. Your support is priceless! You can also support us financially by shopping at Pet Rescue RX™ or iGive™.

iGive is an internet shopping mall with more than 80 merchants. A percentage of all purchases will go directly to FOCAS. Just for registering, you receive a $5 donation, and we receive another $5 if you actually shop on the site. Your information is kept private and your name won't be sold to anyone.

Toys

Animal behaviorists recommend that veterinary clinics, shelters, and humane organizations provide toys to the animals in their care. Toys promote good health, mental stimulation, and socialization. We have an ongoing need for cat, dog, and bunny toys. If you have extra pet toys, please consider donating them to FOCAS.

Angel Fund

Animals sometimes require medical care for extraordinary needs. For example, a rescued pet may require special surgery due to illness, trauma, or neglect. Our Angel Fund supports these procedures. Please give generously.

Feral & Stray Trap-Neuter-Return or Rehabilitate

Dealing with feral and stray animals is one of our major services. We trap these animals, spay or neuter them, and inoculate them against rabies and distemper. We also provide dental and veterinary treatments at no cost. Finally, we return the feral animal or rehabilitate it in preparation for adoption. Please support this vital program. We spay or neuter approximately 1,000 animals each year at a cost of $75,000.

Foster Care Program

Our wonderful volunteers provide emergency boarding for hundreds of animals in foster care awaiting placement in forever homes. We seek funds to purchase medical care, foods, and supplies for these foster homes. 300 strays and orphans found forever homes last year and 75 more remained in foster care, with some special needs kitties still boarding. The cost for foster care supplies, medical care, and boarding were approximately $117,000 in 2015 (distemper and ringworm were rampant last year).

Pay tribute to a special pet or person in your life. Memorial donations are touching way to commemorate people and pets while making a difference to animals in need. Send us a personalized message along with your check. We also encourage animal lovers to consider making a bequest to FOCAS.
